Singlespeeds Rule!

I just finished an ass-kicking ride.

After work today, I went about twenty miles on the SS Sirrus and ended it with Sky Country. Sky Country is a sub-division near me that is about 350 feet of climbing in maybe 500 yards. I almost made it all the way to the top of the third and steepest climb when I ran out of steam. It was funny. On the first two climbs going in there, when I ran out of seated legs, I was able to stand and kind of balance myself to climb on over the top and not really get too tired, but on that last one, I was having to get leverage on the bar to stomp my leg down and I just don't have enough motor to go on up, but I'd say in another month, I'll be able to. Singlespeeds rule!! I came in and laid on the kitchen floor while my head pounded a while. It reminded me of a nasty drunk. The ceramic tile was cool and soothing and I laid there and let my head pound while I regained my composure. Good times!

When I came in my wife was wanting to feed me but I thought, "I don't even want any dinner. I'm just not too hungry..." But after I cooled off I thought that maybe I was a little hungry, so I cut a bite of a banana and got a triscut cracker and ate that and it was the most scrumptus thing I had ever put in my mouth. Now I'm so hungry I could eat the rear end out of a rag doll. I have got to learn when to eat on that bike.
